How to See Magic Kingdom in One Day

While it can be tough to really get your money's worth in a single day at any Disney theme park, you can still map out a great day and see a good chunk of it. You can map out the highlights that you absolutely must see, and then follow your schedule so that you don't miss anything. And don't forget you need an Ultimate Disney Travel Guide.


One thing that you want to keep in mind with Magic Kingdom is that it is broken up into smaller park 'Themes'. If you choose attractions in each theme, make sure that you completely finish up in one area before moving on to the next. It is designed to get you too and from attractions much faster that way, rather than criss crossing the whole park jumping from Tomorrowland, to Adventureland, etc.

First of all, make sure you purchase your tickets ahead of time and arrive early. Lines are long early in the morning, so buying your ticket in advance allows you to save time there. Plan on arriving at the very latest, an hour early. Often times the parks will open before the listed time, and if you get there too late you will be stuck in a long line of traffic waiting to park.

Once you get inside, while it's tempting to shop around on Main St., save it for later. It stays open an extra 1 or 2 hours after closing so you can do your shopping at the end of the day, and not waste time or have to lug around a lot of merchandise. Another thing you will want to note is that Magic Kingdom is built in a large circle, and you can start in either direction. Most people don't realize this and automatically turn right, beginning their day in Tomorrowland. You can be the smart little bug and turn left, beginning your day in Adventureland instead, and going against the crowd.

When checking out the lines double check that there isn't two lines that you can choose from. Hop into the shorter one, as often times folks miss that completely and don't realize a second line is open. Another great way to avoid lines and crowds is to hit the rides during parades. Be sure you are on the side you want to be on before it starts, otherwise good luck trying to cross over. And of course that is assuming no one is going to be particularly upset if you miss the parade in favor of popular attractions!

If you need a mid day siesta, plan on taking it inside the park somewhere. It is much easier than trying to leave and then come back later. Also plan on staying late, as the park empties out pretty dramatically after dark and often times you can pack more great attractions into the last few hours before close than you managed to squeeze in all day.

Also remember to plan for rain, as you are in Florida and it rains regularly. Pack a poncho and you can continue your journey without too much mishap. Also, it would behoove you to avoid Fantasyland during the day and visit it instead at night. It tends to be extremely crowded in the day time and is much more fun a journey after dark.

Obviously your schedule will vary based on your family and tastes, but some of the top attractions you will want to plan to see include Adventureland, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Of course there are many more attractions than that, and again you just need to choose what you want to see and map out your day. So don’t leave out the Disney Factory outlet shops. You can find these wonderful money saving shops just about anywhere and everywhere in Kissimmee and Orlando. There you can find anywhere from 50% to 75% off the original retail prices. Great buys you won't want to miss!
You can also find excellent deals and pricing, as well as unique Disney souvenirs on line. Try places like Amazon and Ebay. You might find some really great stuff, and even some stuff that may be worth some money some day at a bargain price. If you are looking for Disney inside secrets, you need to know wheere to look.Whether you visit Disney in California, Florida, Europe or online…you can find any type of Disney gift you want. It is such a marketable place that outlet shops abound, and Disney is all around you. From Budget to Premium Lodging At Disney World

Disney is a great vacation idea.  But it can be tough deciding where to stay with so many options to choose from.  Do you choose an economy hotel?  Or deluxe lodgings? Or somewhere in between?  It really depends on your tastes and budget, so here I will go over some of your options so that you can make an informed decision.

Economy-

When possible, Disney owned hotels tend to offer the most variety in packaging, although not always the best choice in pricing.  Not to mention they are the closest to the parks, which means you will spend less time commuting and more time having fun.  Disney also has a 'Good Neighbor' program where they have partnered with neighboring hotels to offer various lodging options to Disney vacationers as well, that may just be where you will find your best Economy deal.

3 good ones that offer great deals are Anehiem Quality Inn and Suites, Jolly Roger Hotel, and Motel 6 Aneheim Maingate.  All three offers affordable economy lodging for your Disney stay as well as other amenities.

Moderate-

Moderately priced lodging is available all over the place, including some really great Disney owned hotels.  Some of the best options include Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Disney's Port Orlean's Resort French Quarter, and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  All three offer some really great amenities at affordable pricing as well as a great Disney experience with many perks you might not find at neighbor hotels.

Of course there are many other options than just those three, you can search Google for Disney hotels and be taken to many different websites with many different options for lodging, it is all a matter of taste and what you can afford.

Deluxe- 

Finally, you can find deluxe lodging instead of moderate or economy and really accentuate your Disney vacation.  Granted it is a bit more money for deluxe lodging, but if you can afford it, well worth the extra costs.  You will enjoy extras such as extra magic hours, bell services, and arcade time, as well as multi bedroom units, and table service dining.

Some options for deluxe lodgings are Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Boardwalk Inn, Disney's Polynesian Inn, and Disney's Beach Club Resort, among several others.  All of these resorts offer superior amenities and perks, and luxurious stays perfect for your next vacation.

Premium-

As a premium option you can also explore Disney Vacation Club resorts and villas.  Some options include Disney's Beach Club Villas, Disney's Boardwalk Villa's, and The Villa's At Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  All offer first class luxury, and offer a lot of the same benefits of a Deluxe hotel, and also offers rooms with kitchens or kitchenettes, as well as Character breakfasts, which is not something you will get with a Deluxe resort package.

It all depends on your personal tastes, the needs and desires of your family, and what your wallet can handle.  A Disney vacation doesn't have to break the bank if you don't want it to, but you need to know you have options on how luxurious an experience you want to have.  After all, the Magical World Of Disney is all about atmosphere and experience right?
